The 2009 Filipino Canadian Youth Achievement Award

The Filipino-Canadian Leaders for Leaders Foundation is delighted to announce the 2009 call for nominations for the 2009 Youth Achievement Awards. The awards seek to recognize Filipino-Canadian youth who can inspire others through personal qualities, demonstrated achievement and leadership. Award recipients will receive a cash prize of $500, and an award plaque.

Categories of Achievement:

Arts and Culture: Recognizes those who use their creative and artistic talents to promote and showcase Filipino-Canadian capabilities and inspire others to excel in this field.

Sports: Recognizes those who excel in sports at any level and whose efforts and dedication can serve as a model for others.

Academics: Recognizes those who demonstrate a combination of excellence in academic performance and extra-curricular activities in their studies.

Community Service/Leadership: Recognizes those who have made an impact in their work or community by doing something that has promoted the values of Filipino-Canadian heritage, created positive change or benefited others.

Details:
To qualify to be a recipient of the 2009 Filipino Canadian Youth Achievement Award, your application must be received no later than September,15th, 2009, and you must meet all of the following awards criteria.


Awards Criteria:
- Youth between 15-29
- Of Filipino or Filipino-Canadian heritage
- Permanent resident of The National Capital and the Ottawa Valley.
